Hello and Welcome to Lollipop Farm

It has been snowing here all day. I cannot remember when we last had a white Thanksgiving it was lovely but a bit unusual. This is my favorite time of the year and I can’t wait to start with the Fa La La, get the Christmas tree bought and start making a list for Santa. Again this year, my New Year’s resolutions will begin with finish hooking my room size rug. What’s on your resolution list, if you’re like me and want to
finish that large rug you started or always wanted to start a large rug, check out my new workshop “Large Rugs.”

“We wish you a Merry Christmas and hope
your house be merry “English poet unknown”
Lucille

Thank you for your business but most of all your friendship.

Descriptions

"NEW” Large Pattern Workshop

Hours: Begins at 9am and ends at 6pm. Hooking may continue until 9 pm

Class Size: Limited to four students.

Intent: To provide a comprehensive understanding of antique rug patterns going one step further then in my three day workshop and understanding
how to approach and finish a large rug without getting frustrated and giving up.

Pattern - A pattern started in of my workshops or a new pattern from my collection or
Selection - your own design. Discussion about the pattern and color selection is a must before the workshop...

Meals: Follow the same format listed below.

Color, Texture & Design for Primitive Rugs

These classes are for those who love primitive rugs; focusing on the use of textures, wide cut and color appropriate for the pattern design. Here, we will explore how the key to mixing many textured fabrics is balance. Hooking wool in the deep rich colors of Early America creates a rug that becomes an “instant antique.” Moreover, I believe a pattern should be fun to hook and also contain elements of challenge. We will talk about how “America the Beautiful” holds an endless source of inspiration; old houses, baskets, holidays, boats, flowers, animals, flags, etc., then show you how to use those inspirations, plus a little imagination, to create original rugs that reflect who you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go.

Create your own workshop

When your schedule does not agree with ours, then create a workshop that fits your life.

Requirement: Six students minimum

Number of days- The number of days for a workshop is flexible; it may be any day or days of the week.

Scheduling is easy- call for availability, set a date, send in deposit.
