Welcome to Rug Hooking Workshops at Lollipop Farm

4743 State Route 315, Pawlet, VT 05761
Studio East Rupert, VT

Welcome from Lollipop Farm! Burr… winter is here and I believe here for a while. 2012 went so fast and now it is time to look forward to a new year. With so many rugs to hook it is time to take advantage of the wintery days to sit by the fire with hook in hand.

The Web Site is a great way to see what is going on at Lollipop Farm. I am in the process of updating several pages with current goings – on. So check back and say hello.

Workshops are a wonderful way to expand one’s skills and I can’t think of a better place than in a setting that stimulates learning. Vermont is quintessentially early America, and Lollipop Farm is located in one of its most scenic spots. I hope you will join us for one of our scheduled workshops or create your own. I look forward to hearing from you. Till then, Happy Hooking, Lucille.

Expand your knowledge of Folk Art, and learn what makes a rug a true primitive. Lucille’s class focuses on American Classics – American History is her passion and she incorporates those ideas, folk art and all things she loves into her original designs. She spends a great deal of time in the dye kitchen cooking up old folksy colors that she uses in her rugs.

These classes are for those students that love to work in textures that are aged to look dirty and old. Rug Hooking keeps us connected to early American women and it is my objective to work with students to help them create a one of a kind rug that they can pass from generation to generation.

Early American Life selected Lucille’s work for its Directory of Traditional American Crafts.”
Her work was shown in Country Home Magazine. Lucille also exhibits at prestigious Folk Art Shows. Her work has been purchased and sold by the American Folk Art Museum, NYC. In 2010 her work was chosen for an exhibit at the Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, VT.
